Hi! I think you can choose one platform that you are more comfortable with and think that will work better. With that platform, you should put most of your efforts on there. And then, you can still use other platforms to post content but also use it to promote your main platform. For example, you can post food photography on Instagram as your main platform but still post TikToks from time to time to support your Instagram page. Hope this helps:)

From everythingI have seen video is the way to go. It is more interesting, creates better engagement and can help drive more traffic. Just look at the platforms that have done well over the last few years… TikTok, YouTube and then even Instagram copying them with IGTV and Reels. To me it suggests that video is much better for platform engagement.
People are going to spend more time watching just a few seconds of your video than they are interacting with your image.
With all that said, what is the best platform to spend time on. Well it ultimately depends on your style. One idea is that you film a recipe, then cut a short version to share on TikTok and Instagram Reels. Then if it seems to have done well you can make a longer version for YouTube. You will just need to be careful about orientation of the video since one is vertical and the other horizontal. This way you can double down on your content production.
You can also use TikTok and IG Reel to drive people to subscribe to your YouTube channel. After all you can monetise your YouTube channel 🙂

I’d agree with @ju-pomme-raisin, you want to focus your energy. There is no way you can produce amazing content for all platforms at once, it is just too hard!

I know a few people who work in marketing and even companies struggle to put out enough content for all their social channels and they have a team of people! So it is best to not put too much pressure on yourself and focus on the one platform you believe in/enjoy the most.

If you are starting out today I would probably advise Instagram (it is easy to build a small audience but not so easy to build a big one) or TikTok. The hard thing about TikTok is making videos which takes a bit more work but you loads of people have been “going viral” there. You can then repost TikTok videos to IG so it is a win-win.
