Following from yesterday’s post this block has the same process of working from light to dark colours using reductive method of cutting into the block. The story is all about how we grow older as an individual, meet your partner and have a family. Your children then leave and you downsize with your partner. Very simple, but facts of life we all are experiencing in different guises or are about to go through. But back to the block were the colour has filled in on many of the cuts forming dark lines. The brightness of the block still comes through even as the watercolor mixes and becomes a darker shade and accidents appear on both the print and block.! But good to see after all these years it still maintains a vibrancy on both pieces. Hope you can see this or you may think otherwise? Which one do you prefer?
